Description

Bacon Breakfast Pigs in a Blanket are a cozy, delicious morning treat. Flaky puff pastry wrapped around mini sausages and crispy bacon makes a perfect breakfast or brunch dish full of warmth and love.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 mini sausages
  • 6 slices streaky bacon
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 12 small cheese cubes (optional)
  • Pinch salt & black pepper
  • Dash smoked paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Partially cook bacon for 3-4 minutes, drain, and set aside.
  3. Cut puff pastry into 12 rectangles.
  4. Place half a slice of bacon, a mini sausage, and optional cheese on each rectangle. Season with salt, pepper, paprika.
  5. Roll pastry around sausage, sealing edges.
  6. Place seam-side down on tray, brush with beaten egg.
  7. Bake 15-20 min until golden and crisp.
  8. Cool 2-3 min before serving.

Notes

Add cheese for a gooey center. Partially cooking bacon prevents soggy pastry. Reheat in oven to keep pastry crisp.
