This baked lasagna recipe is my ultimate comfort food. Layers of tender pasta, savory meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and melty mozzarella make every bite irresistible. Perfect for family dinners and cozy nights.

- 12 lasagna sheets
- 500g ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 800g canned chopped tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 250g ricotta cheese
- 200g mozzarella, shredded
- 50g grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Sauté onions in olive oil, add garlic for 1 minute.
- Brown ground beef, breaking it apart.
- Add tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer 15–20 min.
- Mix ricotta, egg, and half Parmesan in a bowl.
- Layer meat sauce, lasagna sheets, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella in baking dish.
- Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Cover with foil, bake 25 min, remove foil, bake 15–20 min until golden.
Notes
Add a pinch of sugar to tomato sauce to balance acidity. Let lasagna rest 10–15 minutes before slicing. Freeze portions for later.
