- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups (340g) semisweet chocolate chips
- Optional: 1 cup (120g) chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract.
- Gradually combine flour mixture with wet ingredients.
- Fold in chocolate chips (and nuts if using).
- Scoop dough onto baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake 9-12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool 5 minutes on sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
