Description

This best asparagus mushroom pasta is a creamy, comforting dish featuring tender pasta, fresh asparagus, earthy mushrooms, and a rich Parmesan cream sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a cozy meal, it’s easy to make and full of flavor.


Ingredients

  • 250g pasta
  • 1 bunch asparagus, chopped
  • 200g mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 50g Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté onion until soft.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add mushrooms and cook until golden brown.
  5. Add asparagus and cook 3–4 minutes.
  6. Pour in cream and simmer gently.
  7. Stir in Parmesan, salt, pepper, and herbs.
  8. Add pasta and toss to coat. Use reserved pasta water if needed.
  9. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan, serve warm.

Notes

Use fresh Parmesan for best flavor. Avoid overcooking asparagus. Add a splash of cream when reheating to maintain sauce texture. Cream can be replaced with half-and-half for a lighter version.
