- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup hot coffee
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C and grease cake pans.
- Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla and mix well.
- Slowly add hot coffee and stir until smooth.
- Pour batter into pans evenly.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until done.
- Cool completely before frosting.
Notes
I always recommend using hot coffee to enhance the chocolate flavor. Store covered at room temperature for 2–3 days or refrigerate for longer freshness. You can also freeze slices for up to 2 months.
