Description

Hi👋 I’m MARILYN, a 34-year-old from the United Kingdom. Cooking is my passion, and I love sharing delicious, easy-to-follow recipes. Today, I’m excited to share my Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe — soft, chewy, and full of chocolatey goodness. Baking these cookies fills my home with warmth and nostalgia. Perfect for family, friends, and cozy baking moments, this recipe is simple, comforting, and made with love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup (165g) packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (340g) semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually beat in the flour mixture until combined.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips with a spatula.
  7. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9–11 minutes or until golden brown but still soft in the center.
  9. Cool on the baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Tip: For extra soft cookies, slightly underbake them and let them finish on the cooling rack. You can substitute half the chocolate chips with chunks or nuts for variety. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or freeze dough for later baking.
