Description

Tender roasted asparagus topped with golden, melted Parmesan. This cozy and easy side dish is perfect for weeknights or special dinners. Full of flavor, simple to make, and sure to impress everyone at the table.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp lemon zest (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Arrange asparagus in a single layer.
  4. Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss gently.
  5. Roast for 12–15 minutes until tender.
  6. Sprinkle Parmesan over asparagus and roast 2–3 more minutes.
  7. Remove, add lemon zest if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

Trim woody ends for tender asparagus. Use fresh Parmesan for better melting. Reheat in oven to maintain crispness.
