- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 12 small breakfast sausages
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry and cut into 12 rectangles.
- Optional: Spread Dijon mustard on each rectangle.
- Place a sausage (and optional cheese) on each rectangle and fold the pastry around it.
- Seal edges with water and place seam-side down on baking tray.
- Mix egg and milk; brush over pastries and sprinkle seeds if desired.
- Bake 20–25 minutes until golden and puffed, rotating tray halfway.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Keep puff pastry cold for best results. Customize with cheese or mustard. Store in fridge up to 3 days; reheat in oven for best texture.
