Description

These Easy Fudgy Brownies are rich, gooey, and chocolatey. A simple, indulgent dessert perfect for family gatherings or a cozy treat at home.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 150g unsalted butter
  • 250g caster sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100g plain flour
  • 30g cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Optional: 100g chopped nuts or chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a 20cm square tin with parchment.
  2. Melt dark chocolate and butter until smooth.
  3. Whisk eggs and sugar until pale, then add vanilla extract.
  4. Fold in chocolate-butter mixture.
  5. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt; fold gently. Add nuts or chunks if using.
  6. Pour into tin and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25–30 mins until top is set but center remains fudgy.
  8. Cool 10 mins before slicing.

Notes

Use high-quality dark chocolate for best results. Avoid overmixing the batter once flour is added. Can be stored in an airtight container for 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
