Description

These Cheesy Breakfast Pigs in a Blanket are the ultimate cozy morning treat! Puff pastry wraps around plump sausages with gooey cheddar inside, baked to golden perfection. Perfect for family breakfasts, brunch gatherings, or a fun weekday treat, each bite is warm, cheesy, and irresistibly comforting.


Ingredients

  • 8 sausage links
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 100g sharp cheddar, grated
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Sprinkle of sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 8 rectangles.
  3. Spread mustard on each rectangle and sprinkle with cheese.
  4. Place a sausage on each and roll pastry around it, sealing the edges.
  5. Arrange on tray, brush with egg, sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
  6. Bake 20–25 minutes until golden and puffed.
  7. Cool slightly before serving.
