Description

My Cheesy Lasagna Recipe is the ultimate comfort food with layers of rich meat sauce, creamy béchamel, and golden melted cheese. Perfect for family dinners or special occasions, this easy lasagna is full of warmth and love.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna sheets
  • 500g minced beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 800g canned chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 500ml béchamel sauce
  • 250g ricotta cheese
  • 200g grated mozzarella cheese
  • 50g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil, cook onions and garlic until soft.
  2. Add minced meat, cook until browned.
  3. Stir in chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, herbs, salt, and pepper. Simmer 20–25 min.
  4. Make béchamel by whisking butter, flour, and milk; season with nutmeg and salt.
  5. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  6. Layer dish with sauce, pasta, béchamel, ricotta, repeating layers; finish with béchamel.
  7. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  8. Cover with foil and bake 25 min; remove foil, bake 20 min more until golden.
  9. Rest 10 min before serving.

Notes

Add sugar to tomato sauce to balance acidity. Mix ricotta with béchamel for creamier layers. Assemble ahead for richer flavor; freeze for later.
