- 300g cherries
- 3 large eggs
- 100g sugar
- 100g plain flour
- 250ml milk
- 50g ground almonds
- 30g melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp almond extract
- Pinch of salt
- Flaked almonds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C and butter baking dish.
- Place cherries evenly in dish.
- Whisk eggs and sugar until light.
- Add vanilla, almond extract, and butter.
- Sift flour, salt, and almonds.
- Slowly add milk while whisking.
- Pour batter over cherries.
- Top with flaked almonds.
- Bake 35–40 minutes until golden.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Resting the batter improves texture. Serve warm for best flavor. Can substitute cherries with berries if needed. Store in fridge for up to 3 days.
