Description

I bake this Cherry Clafoutis with Vanilla as a soft, rustic French dessert filled with juicy cherries and creamy vanilla custard. It’s simple, elegant, and perfect for cozy family moments.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 300g fresh cherries (pitted)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 100g all-purpose flour
  • 250ml whole milk
  • 30g melted butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and butter baking dish.
  2. Spread cherries evenly in dish.
  3. Whisk eggs and sugar until light.
  4. Add vanilla and melted butter.
  5. Add flour and salt, mix smoothly.
  6. Slowly add milk while whisking.
  7. Pour batter over cherries.
  8. Bake 35–40 minutes until golden.
  9. Cool slightly and dust with sugar.

Notes

You can swap cherries for other seasonal fruits like plums or berries. Best served warm. Store in fridge for up to 3 days.
