Description

This Chocolate Chip Banana Bread is moist, soft, and full of chocolatey goodness. Made with overripe bananas, brown sugar, and a touch of vanilla, it’s perfect for breakfast, snacks, or a cozy dessert. Easy to make and always comforting, this recipe brings warmth and joy to your kitchen.


Ingredients

  • 3 overripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash bananas until mostly smooth.
  3. Stir in melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Mix in baking soda, salt, flour, and cinnamon until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips gently.
  6. Pour into pan and smooth top, sprinkle extra chocolate chips if desired.
  7. Bake 60–70 minutes, checking with a toothpick at 55 min.
  8. Cool in pan 10 min, then transfer to wire rack.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for natural sweetness. Brown sugar enhances flavor and moisture. Chocolate chips can be substituted with walnuts or pecans. Freeze slices individually for easy breakfasts.
