- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
- ½ cup olive oil
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves
- Cooked spaghetti or pasta
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pound chicken to ½ inch thickness, season with salt and pepper.
- Set up flour, eggs, and breadcrumb mixture for breading.
- Dredge chicken: flour → egg → breadcrumbs.
- Fry 3–4 min per side until golden. Drain on paper towels.
- Spread ½ cup sauce in baking dish, place chicken, top with remaining sauce and cheese.
- Bake 15–20 min until cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish with basil and serve.

- Pound chicken evenly for tender results.
- Mix Parmesan in breadcrumbs for extra flavor.
- Frying gives a golden crust; baking finishes cooking.
