Description

Classic Chicken Parmesan is my ultimate comfort food — crispy chicken breasts topped with rich marinara sauce and melty mozzarella cheese. Perfect for cozy family dinners, this recipe is full of flavor, warmth, and love.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Cooked spaghetti or pasta

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pound chicken to ½ inch thickness, season with salt and pepper.
  3. Set up flour, eggs, and breadcrumb mixture for breading.
  4. Dredge chicken: flour → egg → breadcrumbs.
  5. Fry 3–4 min per side until golden. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Spread ½ cup sauce in baking dish, place chicken, top with remaining sauce and cheese.
  7. Bake 15–20 min until cheese is bubbly.
  8. Garnish with basil and serve.

Notes

  • Pound chicken evenly for tender results.
  • Mix Parmesan in breadcrumbs for extra flavor.
  • Frying gives a golden crust; baking finishes cooking.
  • Store leftovers in fridge 3 days, freeze before baking if needed.
