- 200g dark chocolate
- 175g unsalted butter
- 250g caster sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 100g plain flour
- 30g cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- Optional: 100g walnuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F. Line a 20x20cm tin with parchment.
- Melt chocolate and butter together. Cool slightly.
- Stir in sugar and vanilla.
- Beat in eggs one at a time.
- Fold in sifted flour, cocoa, and salt gently.
- Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips if using.
- Pour into tin and smooth. Bake 25–30 mins.
- Cool 15 mins before slicing.
Notes
Avoid overmixing flour for fudgy brownies. Sprinkle sea salt on top for flavor boost. Store airtight for 4 days; freeze up to 2 months.
