Description

A rich, moist and comforting Classic Chocolate Cake made with simple pantry ingredients and a deep chocolate flavor. Perfect for birthdays, family gatherings, or cozy evenings at home.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ¾ cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot coffee
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C and prepare cake pans.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Whisk wet ingredients separately.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients slowly.
  5. Add hot coffee and mix gently.
  6. Pour into pans and bake for 30–35 minutes.
  7. Let cool completely before frosting.

Notes

Use hot coffee to enhance chocolate flavor. Avoid overmixing for a soft texture. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
