Classic Cucumber Dill Salad is a refreshing, crisp side dish perfect for summer meals or family gatherings. Thinly sliced cucumbers and red onions are tossed in a creamy dressing of sour cream, fresh dill, lemon juice, and seasoning.

- 3 large cucumbers, thinly sliced
- 1/2 medium red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar or lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Slice cucumbers and red onion thinly.
- Whisk sour cream, vinegar/lemon juice, sugar, salt, pepper, and dill.
- Toss cucumber and onion in dressing until fully coated.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Serve cold, garnished with extra dill if desired.
Notes
Use fresh dill for best flavor. Drain cucumbers if salted beforehand to prevent sogginess. Can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream for a lighter version. Best served within 2 days.
