Description

This Chicken Parmesan for dinner is a comforting and easy family-friendly meal made with crispy breaded chicken, rich marinara sauce, and gooey melted mozzarella. Perfect for weeknight dinners or cozy gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 ½ cups breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • Fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. Dredge chicken in flour, dip in eggs, coat with breadcrumb-parmesan.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet, sear chicken 2–3 minutes per side.
  5. Transfer chicken to baking dish.
  6. Spoon marinara sauce over chicken.
  7. Top with mozzarella and Italian herbs.
  8. Bake 20–25 minutes until cooked through.
  9. Garnish with basil and serve.

Notes

Pound chicken for even cooking. Use fresh parmesan for best flavor. Can assemble ahead and bake later. Store leftovers in fridge up to 3 days.
