Description

Cream Cheese Strawberry Bars are a comforting, soft, and sweet dessert. A buttery crust holds a creamy cream cheese layer topped with fresh, juicy strawberries. Perfect for family gatherings, tea parties, or a cozy afternoon treat, this recipe is easy, flavorful, and full of love.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 cups (225g) fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup (50g) brown sugar
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix melted butter, 1 cup sugar, and vanilla. Stir in flour and salt. Press half into pan.
  3. Beat cream cheese with egg and remaining sugar. Spread over crust.
  4. Toss strawberries with cornstarch and brown sugar; sprinkle over cream cheese.
  5. Crumble remaining dough on top. Bake 35-40 mins until golden. Cool completely.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar and cut into bars.

Notes

Chill dough before baking for extra soft crust. Use room-temperature cream cheese for smooth filling. Store bars in fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for longer. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream for extra indulgence.
