Description

This Creamy Asparagus Quiche is a rich and comforting savory dish featuring tender asparagus baked in a silky egg custard with cream and cheese inside a buttery pie crust. Perfect for brunch, lunch, or a light dinner, this easy quiche recipe is both elegant and simple to prepare.


Ingredients

  • 1 premade 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 cup fresh asparagus, chopped
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the pie crust into a quiche or pie dish.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté asparagus and shallots for 3–4 minutes.
  4. In a bowl whisk eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  5. Stir in shredded Gruyère and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Spread sautéed asparagus evenly in the crust.
  7. Pour egg mixture over the vegetables.
  8. Bake for 35–40 minutes until set and lightly golden.
  9. Allow the quiche to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For extra flavor add cooked bacon or mushrooms. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat slices in the oven at 325°F for best texture. This quiche can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
