Description
Crispy Golden Pigs in a Blanket are my go-to comfort snack when I want something warm, nostalgic, and guaranteed to bring everyone to the kitchen. Juicy mini sausages wrapped in buttery, flaky dough bake up golden and irresistible every single time.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package mini sausages (about 400 g)
- 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough (240 g)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)
- Cooking spray or parchment paper
Instructions
- I preheat the oven to 190°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- I unroll the crescent dough and cut it into small triangles.
- I wrap each mini sausage tightly with a piece of dough.
- I place them seam-side down on the prepared tray.
- I whisk the egg with milk and brush it over each wrapped sausage.
- I sprinkle sesame or poppy seeds on top if using.
- I bake for 15–18 minutes until puffed and golden.
- I let them cool slightly before serving warm.
Notes
I love serving these fresh from the oven for the crispiest texture. You can prepare them a few hours ahead and bake just before serving. Leftovers reheat beautifully in the oven at 180°C for 5 minutes.
