Description

This fresh and creamy cucumber dill salad is the perfect light and refreshing side dish. Made with crisp cucumbers, a tangy creamy dressing, and fresh dill, it’s easy to prepare and perfect for summer meals.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • ½ small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice cucumbers thinly and place in a bowl.
  2. Sprinkle with salt and let sit 10 minutes.
  3. Drain and pat dry.
  4. Mix sour cream, lemon juice, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add chopped dill and stir.
  6. Combine cucumbers and onion with dressing.
  7. Toss gently until coated.
  8. Chill for 20–30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use Greek yogurt for a lighter version. Add garlic for extra flavor. Best served fresh and chilled.
