- 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
- ½ cup warm milk
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tsp sugar. Let sit 5–10 min until frothy.
- Mix melted butter, sugar, salt, and eggs in a large bowl. Add yeast mixture, then flour.
- Knead dough 5 min until smooth. Roll into 16×12-inch rectangle.
- Spread softened butter over dough. Sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.
- Roll tightly, pinch seam, cut into 12 rolls. Place in greased pan.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 min until golden.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk for icing. Drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
Optional: Add nutmeg to filling for extra warmth. Store rolls in airtight container for 2 days or freeze for longer storage. Reheat in oven or microwave for soft, warm rolls.
