Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk, warm
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 tbsp milk, as needed

Instructions

  1. Mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar; let foam 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter and eggs; whisk.
  3. Stir in flour and salt; knead 8–10 minutes.
  4. Let dough rise 1–2 hours until doubled.
  5. Roll dough into 16×12 inch rectangle.
  6. Spread softened butter; sprinkle cinnamon-sugar.
  7. Roll tightly; cut into 12 rolls.
  8. Place in pan; let rise 30–45 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes.
  10. Beat frosting ingredients; spread on warm rolls.

Notes

Warm milk activates yeast; don’t overheat. Softened butter ensures gooey filling. Store in airtight container; reheat gently.
