Description

These Fudgy Strawberry Bars are soft, chewy, and full of rich chocolate flavor paired with juicy fresh strawberries. Perfect for sharing with family or enjoying as a sweet treat at home.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups (250g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup (60g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cups (300g) fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup (90g) white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Sift cocoa, flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold into wet ingredients gently.
  5. Spread half the batter in the pan, layer half the strawberries. Top with remaining batter and strawberries. Sprinkle white chocolate chips if desired.
  6. Bake 30–35 mins until edges are set and center jiggles slightly.
  7. Cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Slightly underbake for fudgy texture.
  • Use chilled strawberries to keep shape.
  • Espresso powder enhances chocolate depth.
  • Store in an airtight container up to 3 days; freeze for 3 months.
