- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced

- Optional: fresh lemon juice and crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Trim woody ends of asparagus and lay in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Toss asparagus with olive oil and minced garlic until evenly coated.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Roast for 12–15 minutes until tender and slightly crisp at the tips.
- Sprinkle Parmesan over asparagus in the last 2–3 minutes of roasting.
- Optional: finish with lemon juice and red pepper flakes before serving.
Notes
Use fresh Parmesan for best flavor. Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet; roasting works best in a single layer. Make ahead by prepping asparagus with oil and garlic, roast just before serving.
