Description

Garlic Parmesan Roasted Asparagus is a simple, flavorful side dish perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions. Tender asparagus roasted with garlic and Parmesan makes every meal feel cozy and delicious.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Optional: fresh lemon juice and crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim woody ends of asparagus and lay in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  3. Toss asparagus with olive oil and minced garlic until evenly coated.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Roast for 12–15 minutes until tender and slightly crisp at the tips.
  6. Sprinkle Parmesan over asparagus in the last 2–3 minutes of roasting.
  7. Optional: finish with lemon juice and red pepper flakes before serving.

Notes

Use fresh Parmesan for best flavor. Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet; roasting works best in a single layer. Make ahead by prepping asparagus with oil and garlic, roast just before serving.
