- 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 ½ cups (300g) granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons matcha green tea powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup (175g) white chocolate chips
- Optional: pinch of flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk melted butter and sugar until glossy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Sift together flour, matcha, salt, and baking powder; fold into wet mixture.
- Fold in white chocolate chips, reserving some for topping.
- Pour batter into pan, sprinkle remaining chips and optional salt.
- Bake 25–30 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly soft.
- Cool 20 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Sift matcha for smooth batter. Slightly underbake for extra gooey brownies. Store airtight at room temperature or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat slices in microwave for 10–15 seconds for warm, gooey brownies.
