Description

These Gooey Matcha Brownies with White Chocolate Chips are the perfect blend of earthy matcha and sweet, creamy chocolate. Soft, chewy, and irresistible, they’re ideal for a cozy treat at home or a special dessert for friends and family.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 ½ cups (300g) granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons matcha green tea powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup (175g) white chocolate chips
  • Optional: pinch of flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk melted butter and sugar until glossy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Sift together flour, matcha, salt, and baking powder; fold into wet mixture.
  5. Fold in white chocolate chips, reserving some for topping.
  6. Pour batter into pan, sprinkle remaining chips and optional salt.
  7. Bake 25–30 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly soft.
  8. Cool 20 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Sift matcha for smooth batter. Slightly underbake for extra gooey brownies. Store airtight at room temperature or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat slices in microwave for 10–15 seconds for warm, gooey brownies.
