- 200g dark chocolate, chopped
- 150g unsalted butter
- 250g caster sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 100g plain flour
- 30g cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Optional: 100g chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a 20cm square tin.
- Melt chocolate and butter together until smooth.
- Stir in sugar, then beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Fold in flour, cocoa, and salt gently.
- Add nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour into tin and smooth top.
- Bake 25–30 minutes until top cracks and skewer comes out slightly moist.
- Cool completely before cutting into squares.

Use high-quality chocolate for best flavor. Avoid overmixing for fudgy texture. Can be frozen for up to 3 months. Slightly underbake for a gooey center.
