Ingredients

  • 1 cup (220g) packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups (350g) chocolate chips
  • Optional: 1 cup (120g) chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until combined.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
  7. Scoop dough onto sheets, leaving space between cookies.

  9. Cool 5 minutes on sheets, then transfer to wire rack.
