- ½ cup white chocolate, chopped
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (150g)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour (30g)
- 2 tbsp Japanese matcha powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan.
- Melt butter and white chocolate together until smooth.
- Cool slightly, then whisk in sugar.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Sift flour, matcha, and salt; fold gently into batter.
- Fold in white chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour batter into pan and smooth top.
- Bake 20–25 minutes until set but soft in center.
- Cool completely, then slice into squares.
Notes
Use ceremonial grade matcha for best color and flavor. Sift matcha to avoid clumps. Refrigerate for firmer brownies or freeze for up to 2 months.
