Description

Ingredients

  • 150g unsalted butter, melted
  • 150g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 200g granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100g all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp matcha powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 100g sweet rice flour (mochiko)
  • 50g sugar
  • 100ml milk
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: white chocolate chunks or drizzle, powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt dark chocolate and butter until smooth.
  3. Whisk sugar and eggs, then add vanilla and chocolate mixture.
  4. Sift in flour, matcha, and salt; fold until smooth.
  5. Whisk mochi ingredients until thick but pourable.
  6. Pour brownie batter into pan, swirl mochi mixture on top.
  7. Bake 25–30 minutes until set but slightly sticky on top.
  8. Cool completely, slice, and optionally top with white chocolate or powdered sugar.
