Description

Delight your kids with these easy, kid-friendly breakfast pigs in a blanket. Quick, golden, and fun to eat, perfect for mornings, brunch, or family treats!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package mini sausages (12–16)
  • 1 sheet puff pastry or crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • Optional: sesame seeds or poppy seeds
  • Optional: ketchup or honey mustard for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment.
  2. Roll out pastry and cut into rectangles 3×4 inches.
  3. Place a sausage on each rectangle and roll up, seam underneath.
  4. Arrange on tray, brush with egg wash, sprinkle seeds if desired.
  5. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden and puffed.
  6. Serve warm with dipping sauces.

Notes

Chill pastry for easier handling. Egg wash gives a golden finish. Make ahead by freezing raw wrapped sausages. Avoid microwaving to keep pastry crisp.
