Description

These Matcha Blondie Brownies are soft, chewy, and buttery with a delicate green tea flavor. Perfect for sharing or enjoying with a cup of tea, they’re easy to make and full of comforting sweetness.


Ingredients

  • 200g unsalted butter, melted
  • 200g light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 180g all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp matcha green tea powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 100g white chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line an 8×8-inch baking tin with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Sift and fold in flour, matcha, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  5. Fold in white chocolate chunks.
  6. Pour batter into tin and smooth top.
  7. Bake 20-25 mins. Cool completely before cutting.

Notes

Use high-quality ceremonial matcha for best flavor. Slightly underbake for fudgy blondies. Store in airtight container at room temp, fridge, or freezer.
