Description

Soft, fudgy Matcha Brownies with Cream Cheese Swirl combine earthy green tea flavor with a sweet, creamy swirl. Easy to bake and perfect for cozy afternoons or family gatherings, these brownies are a treat everyone will love.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp matcha green tea powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • Optional: 1/4 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and mix with granulated sugar. Let cool slightly.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla.
  4. Whisk together flour, matcha, and salt; fold into wet ingredients.
  5. Pour batter into pan and smooth top.
  6. Beat cream cheese with powdered sugar, dollop over batter, and swirl with a toothpick.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  8. Cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use high-quality matcha for best flavor. Don’t overmix cream cheese swirl. Optional: add white chocolate chips for extra gooeyness. Store in airtight container up to 3 days, refrigerate up to a week, or freeze for 2 months.
