These fudgy Matcha Brownies with silky Matcha Ganache combine rich chocolate with fragrant green tea. Easy to make and perfect for sharing, they bring joy to your kitchen and delight every bite.

- 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
- 150g unsalted butter
- 200g caster sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 80g all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp matcha powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 100g white chocolate
- 50ml heavy cream
- 1 tsp matcha powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare a 20x20cm tin.
- Melt chocolate and butter over simmering water.
- Whisk sugar and eggs until pale; add vanilla.
- Fold chocolate mixture into eggs gently.
- Sift flour, matcha, salt over batter; fold gently.
- Pour into tin and bake 20–25 min.
- Cool completely.
- For ganache, heat cream, pour over white chocolate, add matcha, whisk smooth.
- Pour ganache over brownies; chill 30 min to set.
Notes
Sift matcha for smooth ganache. Do not overbake brownies; they stay fudgy. Store in airtight container; freeze for up to 2 months.
