Description

Mini Cherry Clafoutis is a soft and elegant French dessert made with juicy cherries baked in a light custard batter. It is simple, comforting, and perfect for cozy family moments or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh cherries (pitted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and butter ramekins.
  2. Place cherries at the bottom of each ramekin.
  3. Whisk eggs and sugar until light.
  4. Add milk and vanilla extract.
  5. Sift in flour and salt and mix gently.
  6. Add melted butter and whisk until smooth.
  7. Let batter rest for 10 minutes.
  8. Pour batter over cherries.
  9. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden.
  10. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

Letting the batter rest improves texture. You can use frozen cherries if fresh are not available. Serve warm for best flavor and optionally add vanilla ice cream.
