- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon

- Pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- Optional: powdered sugar, maple syrup, fresh berries
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Cube bread and place evenly in dish.
- Whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
- Pour custard over bread, pressing lightly to soak each cube. Cover and refrigerate 2+ hours or overnight.
- Mix melted butter and brown sugar, sprinkle over top.
- Bake 40–45 minutes until golden and custard is set.
- Cool 5–10 minutes before serving warm with syrup and berries.
