Description

These Mini Pigs in a Blanket for Buffets are simple, cozy, and utterly delicious. Perfect for parties, brunches, or casual gatherings, each bite combines buttery puff pastry with savory mini sausages. Quick to prepare and adored by kids and adults alike, they bring warmth and joy to any buffet spread.


Ingredients

  • 1 pack mini cocktail sausages (400g)
  • 2 sheets ready-made puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C / 400°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry and cut into 2 cm strips.
  3. Wrap each mini sausage in a pastry strip and place on tray.
  4. Brush tops with beaten egg, sprinkle seeds if desired.
  5. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden and puffed.
  6. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Keep puff pastry cold for easier handling. Optionally add mustard or cream cheese for extra flavor. Can be frozen before baking and baked directly from frozen for convenience.
