- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup hot water or coffee
Instructions
- Preheat oven and grease cake pan.
- Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
- In another bowl, mix wet ingredients.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients gently.
- Add hot water or coffee slowly.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before serving or frosting.
Notes
Use hot coffee instead of water for deeper flavor. Do not overmix batter. Store in airtight container for up to 5 days. Best served slightly warm or with chocolate ganache.
