Description

This New York Cheesecake Recipe is creamy, rich, and full of love. With a buttery biscuit base, silky cream cheese filling, and gentle water bath baking, it’s the ultimate classic dessert perfect for family gatherings or special occasions.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 250g digestive biscuits, crushed
  • 100g unsalted butter, melted
  • 900g cream cheese, room temperature
  • 200g granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs, room temperature
  • 200ml sour cream, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Zest of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C. Wrap 23cm springform pan with foil.
  2. Mix biscuits with butter and press into pan. Chill 10 min.
  3. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar gradually.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing gently.
  5. Fold in sour cream, vanilla, flour, and lemon zest.
  6. Pour over crust, smooth top.
  7. Place in water bath and bake 60–70 min.
  8. Cool in oven 1 hour, then chill 4+ hours.

Notes

Use full-fat cream cheese for best texture. Avoid over-beating to prevent cracks. Top with berries or chocolate ganache for extra flair.
