Description

These *One-Bite Pigs in a Blanket* are cozy, bite-sized snacks perfect for parties or a fun family treat. Puff pastry wraps mini sausages for a golden, flaky exterior and juicy, savory interior. Serve warm with dips and enjoy these comforting little bites that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of store-bought puff pastry (or crescent roll dough)
  • 24 mini cocktail sausages
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface to ¼-inch thickness. Cut into 2×3 inch rectangles.
  3. Place a mini sausage at the edge of each rectangle. Optionally add mustard.
  4. Roll the dough around the sausage and seal edges. Place seam-side down on a lined baking tray.
  5. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and puffed.
  7. Cool for a few minutes and serve warm.

Notes

  • Chill dough before cutting for cleaner edges.
  • Use mustard for extra flavor.
  • Can be prepped ahead and refrigerated for 24 hours or frozen for longer storage.
  • Reheat in oven for crisp pastry; avoid microwave.
