- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 chicken breasts, diced
- Salt and black pepper
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups whole milk
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
- 1 cup broccoli or mushrooms (optional)
Instructions
- Cook chicken in butter until golden. Remove.
- Sauté garlic for 1 minute.
- Add broth and milk, stir to combine.
- Add pasta and simmer until nearly tender.
- Return chicken and optional vegetables.
- Cook until pasta is done and sauce thickens.
- Stir in parmesan and nutmeg.
- Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
Notes
Use whole milk for creaminess. Simmer gently to avoid sticking. Reheat with milk for leftovers. Add extra vegetables or herbs for variation.
