- Ingredients listed on cake mix box
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 small package red Jello
- 1 small package blue Jello
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- ΒΌ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Fresh strawberries and blueberries for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare and bake cake according to box directions.
- Let cool slightly.
- Poke holes with a wooden spoon handle.
- Dissolve red Jello in boiling water and pour over cake holes.
- Dissolve blue Jello and pour over remaining holes.
- Chill 4 hours or overnight.
- Whip cream with sugar and vanilla; spread on cake.
- Garnish with fresh berries.
- Slice and serve chilled.
Notes
Poke holes while the cake is slightly warm. Use soft peaks for whipped cream to keep it light. This cake stores in the fridge for up to 4 days.
