Description

These Puff Pastry Mini Pigs in a Blanket are golden, flaky, and perfect for cozy family gatherings or parties. Quick to make, fun to serve, and loved by everyone!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 12 mini cocktail sausages
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp water
  • Optional: sesame or poppy seeds
  • Optional: 1 tsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (392°F) and line a baking tray.
  2. Roll out puff pastry slightly; cut into 2–3 cm strips.
  3. Optional: spread Dijon mustard on pastry.
  4. Place mini sausage at end of strip and roll up. Seal edges.
  5. Beat egg with water and brush over pastry.
  6. Sprinkle seeds if desired.
  7. Arrange on tray, leaving space to puff.
  8. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden.
  9. Cool a few minutes and serve warm.

Notes

Keep pastry cold for best puff. Freeze unbaked for up to a month. Reheat in oven to keep crisp.
