Description

These Quick Homemade Brownies are rich, fudgy, and melt in your mouth. With simple ingredients like dark chocolate, butter, sugar, eggs, and flour, you can make a batch in under 30 minutes. Perfect for family gatherings or cozy weekends at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 175g unsalted butter
  • 325g caster sugar
  • 130g plain flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Optional: 100g chopped walnuts or chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a 20cm square tin with parchment paper.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter together until smooth.
  3. Beat in sugar until glossy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  5. Fold in flour and salt gently.
  6. Add walnuts or chocolate chips if using.
  7. Pour batter into tin, smooth the top.
  8. Bake 20–25 minutes until edges are firm and center soft.
  9. Cool 10 minutes in tin, then transfer to wire rack before cutting.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate for best flavor. Avoid overmixing the batter to keep it fudgy. Can be stored in an airtight container up to 4 days or frozen up to 3 months. Serve warm with ice cream or tea.
