Description

These Quick Homemade Cinnamon Rolls are soft, gooey, and irresistible. Made with simple ingredients, they bake up fluffy and delicious in just over an hour, perfect for cozy mornings and family treats.


Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2–3 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm milk with 1 tsp sugar; let sit 5–10 mins until frothy.
  2. Mix melted butter, sugar, salt, and egg in a large bowl. Add yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour; knead until smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover dough and let rise 30 mins.
  5. Roll dough into 12×16-inch rectangle; spread butter, sprinkle cinnamon sugar.
  6. Roll dough into a log; cut into 12 pieces and place in greased dish.
  7. Cover and rise 15–20 mins.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 20–25 mins until golden.
  9. Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk for glaze.
  10. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls and serve.

Notes

Brush rolls with butter before baking for extra softness. Optional nutmeg adds warmth. Store in airtight container for 3 days. Assemble and refrigerate overnight for fresh morning rolls.
