- ¾ cup warm milk
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 2–3 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Dissolve yeast in warm milk with 1 tsp sugar; let sit 5–10 mins until frothy.
- Mix melted butter, sugar, salt, and egg in a large bowl. Add yeast mixture.
- Gradually add flour; knead until smooth and elastic.
- Cover dough and let rise 30 mins.
- Roll dough into 12×16-inch rectangle; spread butter, sprinkle cinnamon sugar.
- Roll dough into a log; cut into 12 pieces and place in greased dish.
- Cover and rise 15–20 mins.
- Bake at 350°F for 20–25 mins until golden.
- Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk for glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over warm rolls and serve.
Notes
Brush rolls with butter before baking for extra softness. Optional nutmeg adds warmth. Store in airtight container for 3 days. Assemble and refrigerate overnight for fresh morning rolls.
