Description

Quick Roasted Asparagus with Parmesan is a simple, flavorful, and cozy side dish perfect for family dinners or weeknight meals. Tender asparagus roasted to perfection with a golden Parmesan finish and optional lemon zest for brightness.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup (25 g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: 1 tsp lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and trim asparagus, pat dry.
  3. Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread in a single layer.
  4. Roast 10–12 minutes until tender.
  5. Sprinkle Parmesan over asparagus, roast 2 more minutes until golden.
  6. Optional: Sprinkle lemon zest before serving.

Notes

Trim woody ends for best texture. Roast Parmesan for a golden finish. Serve immediately for peak flavor. Store leftovers in fridge up to 3 days. Reheat in oven, not microwave.
