Description

Roasted Asparagus with Parmesan is a quick, flavorful side dish perfect for any meal. Tender asparagus roasted to perfection and topped with savory Parmesan creates a dish that is healthy, easy, and irresistibly delicious.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450g) fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim asparagus and pat dry.
  3. Place on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle salt and pepper. Toss gently.
  4. Add minced garlic if using.
  5. Roast for 12–15 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through.
  6. Sprinkle Parmesan in the last 2–3 minutes of roasting.
  7. Optional: finish with lemon zest before serving.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the pan for even roasting. Parmesan melts best when added near the end. Store leftovers in an airtight container up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven, not microwave, to maintain crispiness.
