Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mash bananas in a large bowl; leave a few small lumps.
- Stir in melted butter, then mix in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla.
- Add baking soda, salt, and gently fold in flour; do not overmix.
- Fold in optional cinnamon, walnuts, or chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into pan, smooth top, and bake 60–65 minutes.
- Cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
